Hmmm, I don't understand what the IOS would have to do with accessing voicemail. Sometimes, I don't know if the store people know what they're talking about. But, again, the accessibility bugs with voiceover, Braille Displays, bluetooth, and the touchtone phone have not been addressed yet. If you bought an iPhone 6 then you should update to IOS 8.0.2, but those who haven't updated to ios 8 yet, unless you have some desperate need to be an earlier adopter or you have an app that got updated and won't behave without ios 8, then hold off. A good idea would be to make sure you have automatic updates turned off in the phone under iTunes in the settings area. ----- Original Message ----- From: Vickie To: Facts Machine Sent: Sunday, September 28, 2014 1:48 AM Subject: [the-facts-machine] IOS 8.0.2 Hereâ?Ts part of a message I just received from my friend Linda about her upgrade. Remember I told you she recently received her I phone 5, after using the 4s, previously. Hereâ?Ts what she says. Well, I had a problem in that I couldnâ?Tt set up my voice mail unless I switched over to I-OS 8. The man who took my third call to the Disability Group was correct in saying that once I downloaded I-OS 8 my voice mail would allow me to put in my password. Then I did a greeting of sorts, though I may have to do it again, but not today. Iâ?Tm having trouble with putting my I-Cloud password in as well as my e-mail password, plus Iâ?Tll need to have my wireless keyboard re-paired with the phone now that Iâ?Tve changed operating systems. At least, now with Voice Mail set up, I can forward calls from my land line to my cell, very important today as I have an appointment.
