Bluebirds seemed to have happened for a couple of days in December
(including all 3 species at one location) and then nada. It sure has felt
that way, at least personally.
Anyways, 20 miles east of Marathon off the north side of Hwy 90 there's an
Aermotor windmill, cattle tank with a guzzler trough. Mid to late morning
today I enjoyed 40 Mountain Bluebirds drinking from that location.
Drinking, perching in trees and creosote nearby, flying over the hwy and
back again.
Here is hoping for a little more of a *Sialis* species New Year.
