Hi, David. I'm really late to the dance on this but my thought is that for me, a new Texan, knowing where people are from helps me figure out where the place they are reporting about. Not everyone puts the address of the birding location and sometimes just uses abbreviations. We also have many folks from out of state who use this list to plan birding trips. I understand your frustration. I'd vote to remind people occasionally to put their city and county at the bottom. It can certainly be automatically added to the signature line. Thanks for all you do.
