Good Morning, Texbirders! Next Saturday's Birder Patrol trip will be to Starr County; target birds will include Red-billed Pigeon (hopefully they'll be feeding in the county park), Scaled Quail, Audubon's Oriole, and other "desert" species (Muscovy Duck is a longshot, but possible). Meet at the HEB in Alamo (just south of US 83 on Alamo Road) in the northeastern section, close to where the gas station is, at 6:00 to carpool. Cost is $5.00 per person, and proceeds go to support the free Beginning Birdwatchers classes offered by Arroyo Colorado Audubon. Be advised that there is an additional fee for Falcon State Park, unless you have a pass.
