-Rarities found this week-
A *BLACK PHOEBE *was photographed at the Luling Wastewater Treatment
Plant, *Caldwell,
*3/25. The bird was initially seen feeding over the far NE pond (as visible
from Willow Rd). It made several appearances after disappearing for a bit.
A *WHITE-BREASTED NUTHATCH* was found along the San Gabriel River,
*Williamson*, on 3/28 and continues through 3/31. The bird was heard near
the intersection of CR 428 and CR 361. There's a bridge on 428 and the bird
was vocalizing both downstream and upstream. No visual reported yet. The
long-staying bird at Max Starke Park in Sequin, *Guadalupe, *was re-spotted
on 3/26.
A male *WESTERN TANAGER* was photographed on a feeder at a private
residence in Garden Ridge, *Comal, *at 3/29.
-Continuing birds from previous weeks-
A male *BROAD-TAILED HUMMINGBIRD* was photographed at a private residence
in Cedar Park, *Williamson,* on 3/8 and continues through 3/30.
At least one *GREAT KISKADEE* continues on private property off of
Dickerson Rd (CO 107) south of Maxwell, *Caldwell*, on 3/26. Two birds have
been present. The long-staying bird at Berry Springs Park, *Williamson, *
continues through 3/28.
At least one *PYRRHULOXIA* continues in the Xeric Area of Platt Lane,
Austin, *Travis*, on 3/28. Another bird was found at Circle Acres near Roy
Guerrero Park in central Austin, *Travis, *on 3/28. A male was observed
along County Rd 204 in Liberty Hill, *Williamson, *on 3/26.
A *BLACK-HEADED GROSBEAK* continues at Warbler Woods, *Guadalupe, *on 3/26.
