If it is a G2 short, you can measure the scan supplies while this shuts down. The 200 and the vertical B+ will stay up, but the G2 pin on the kine will measure less than a volt. Especially if this is using that Goldstar crt. Had 3 in a row doing the same. If it is shorted, easy enough to remove.
