I've recently found that some of the crts using AKB circuits like yours have
been responding rather well to boosting the heater voltage. I have yet to
know if the life of the crt is shortened somewhat or considerably....but
when the only other choice is replacement of the crt, getting a little more
life from an old tube may be a reasonable choice for your customer.
