Make : Sony
Model : KV36XBR450
Problem : Set comes on OK but image looked reddish/bluish , clearly lacking
most of the green drive. It did have some green but not 100%. Set would
shut off after a minute or so with a 5 blink error code (White Balance
Failure)

Pulled the back off the set and tapped on the CRT drive board and neck area
of the CRT and picture came back into spec ! Perfect! OK!

After this "fix" set seems OK , BUT we know better! Tapping / Flexing the
drive board and CRT neck does not show any sign of instability.

Removed the CRT board , Was VERY difficult to get off ! Silicone does not
give easily! Had to unsolder the socket from the board and carefully pry
and cut with a exacto. The area between the green drive pin and focus
pins show a fair amount of heat stress (clue?)

Just wondering if others have experienced this sort of issue on this model.
