Hi Jim The service adjustments will allign good with the setup on the front panel buttons converge but only in the center of the screen..The sides are out very bad.. and are not straight lines..before I replaced the green amplifier module the green lines on the sides were moving left to right as if there was a hum in the output..It was corrected with the stk391-020 replacement. also the main convergence module was overhauled by samsung as they said this was the trouble...As you said..the service manual leaves a lot to be desired for servicing and Samsung is no help at all.on this one..Set up is done with the magnets on the crts ..All of the 26 volt supplys to the convergence board check ok..This is a set that is very difficult to get off of the service bench.
