sure sounds like the splitter to me, was it the generic or original ? I've had one generic bad out of the box, actually it worked once,, have you ohmed with a dental pick from the main lead in to each of the other three ? I think a good one measures around 15K. and a bad one will be closer to a short. brock Brock Electronics R.R.4 box 237 5208 cr.3385 Independence Ks. 67301 620-331-0235 fax 331-7191 brock@xxxxxxx mailto:brock@xxxxxxx ----- Original Message ----- From: "Huds" <huds@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, October 15, 2002 4:32 PM Subject: [TechAssist] RCA BIG SCREEN CTC169PF/P46720LV > > RCA MODEL # P46720LV CHASSIS # CTC169PF > > I have changed the HV splitter and Cr 4118, C4104, and Q601 with the HI > voltage wire from the flyback in the splitter > the set when first press power button you can hear the hi voltage come up > and the power light stay on for about one minute > and the green tube lights up just for an instant and goes out and the power > light on the power button goes out also, > if I take the Hi voltage wire out of the splitter the light stays on and the > arc at the end of the Hi voltage wire looks real > weak, put it back in the splitter and it goes out.
