35" direct view.
This uses a HV block along with a fly back. i removed the anode from the
top of the flyback and covered the hole to discourage arcs. This is a
test for a bad HV block. Still nothing, just the slow 2-3 clicks when I
push power on my remote.
The HOT is good with about +140VDC on collector in stby. It must have 5V
stby because the remote starts the set. I removed the shielded board to
the front (TPIP), resoldered it, as well as deflection -power board, tho
all looked OK. On the old CTC169's the audio board would stop the set
if any output ICs short. Is there a certain plug I can remove to isolate
the audio power board without major surgery?

Any histories on this? It's a buggar to access the top of any board.
