From Tech Repair CD:
Magnavox\27PS55S321 27T800\Shutdown (into protect) with no symptom 
shown\Adjustment of Sg2 (master screen
on LOT) may resolve but symptom may return\\27T800 \The LOT (flyback) 5445. 
Several returned samples have
been discovered with unstable/intermittent Sg2 controls.\Monitoring the Sg2 
voltage may provide proof of
this as the cause of protection\\\\\\\

had shorted flyback, used replacement and now set comes on but
has very glassy pix, like very bad crt.
also shuts down in 10 seconds.
low current drain, hi-v at 25 kv.
pix has popper hight and width.
any help appreciated.
