[TechAssist] Philips / Magnavox TS2744C103 Chassis # 27B8 No Video, no OSD, Sound is OK.

Hi members,
I have fixed 2 or 3 of these sets for the traditional Vertical problems.
This one is giving me nightmares.

After replacing IC500, D409, and R420, my vertical seems to be OK,...but,
now I have a dark screen, with NO video or OSD. There is a white line across
the top, about 1/2 inch thick. If I turn up my screen control, it goes to
gray raster, with retrace lines.

I have found about 20 fixes for this problem. They all seem to be Vertical,
or IC500 related. Also,...some have been fixed by replacing the Eprom.
I have rechecked my work in the vertical area.(NO lifted traces.).
I have replaced the Eprom (NO change), but can't access the service menu,
due to the NO OSD problem. I have replaced IC271.(problem remains).
The voltages on IC500 are:
Pin # 1 - .4 volts
          2 - +12.5
          3 -  -10.5
          4 -  -12.5
          5 -  .2
          6 - +13.5
          7 -  .4
I have also had to replace R58 (20 ohms), and IC 52 (TDA6106Q), on the CRT
board.(For shutdown problems).
In other words,...This set had multiple problems,...but, now,...there is
ONLY ONE problem left. Hate to junk it after spending so much time and money
on it,...But,..it is now becoming a matter of principal. I will not
rest,...until I find, and fix this problem !
