If your reg voltage is too high why go to the hor out stage. Pin 1 and 2 on the reg are feedback that affect reg voltage.Power up with your variac and see if you get a PWM waveform on Pin 2 (3.2vp/p) and on Pin 1 2.6vp/p.PWM for Pin 2 is generated by Q%, Q4106, and Q4107. Should be 15vp/p on the col of Q4107 with 11vdc.This is controlled from Pin 9 of T4102.This is raw 145vdc and must be well filtered. Pin 13 of T4102 is the feedback for Pin 1, and on Pin 1 there should be 2.6vp/p, with .024vdc. Even at 80v input you will have these waveforms.
