I agree with Pete, 52 volts seems awfully high for a vertical deflection IC. What is the vertical IC used in this set, check its parameters. What is the voltage on the vertical IC output? I don't think it's the vertical chip, some voltages seem to be very hi, like that 52V on pin 3, Is there any resistor on the yoke return?, also check diodes or zeners in vertical circuit. Both vertical winding on the yoke have same resistance? I'm giving you some ideas, good luck Pete Perdomo TV Inc. Miami, Fla. wpt19@xxxxxxxxx ---- Original Message---- I have a Magnavox TP3285-C129 with a chassis 32K800-7591 made in 2001. The vertical is off center to the top. Getting into the SAM menu lets me adust the ver-shift parameter from 0 to 63 with 63 being the best but the picture is still too high. The pix does move as I adjust it and the height appears good. The vertical output (STV9379F) has the following DC voltages: 1 +0.6v 2 +12v 3 +52v 4 -13v 5 +1.2v 6 +12v 7 +0.6 I do not have a service manual or a new output chip. Could the output IC be causing this? =A0 What else could cause it? Thanks for your reply. =A0=A0=A0=A0John. -- John Mielke Main TV Longmont,Co 303 776 6955 maintv2002@xxxxxxxxxxxx ------------------------------------------ Submit A Repair Tip For Everyone Here: http://www.tech-assist.org/secure/tip/main.html ------------------------------------------ To REMOVE your email address, click here: http://www.tech-assist.org/unsubb.html To CHANGE your email address, click here: http://www.techassist.net/forms/change.html ------------------------------------------ Submit A Repair Tip For Everyone Here: http://www.tech-assist.org/secure/tip/main.html ------------------------------------------ To REMOVE your email address, click here: http://www.tech-assist.org/unsubb.html To CHANGE your email address, click here: http://www.techassist.net/forms/change.html ------------------------------------------ Submit A Repair Tip For Everyone Here: http://www.tech-assist.org/secure/tip/main.html ------------------------------------------ To REMOVE your email address, click here: http://www.tech-assist.org/unsubb.html To CHANGE your email address, click here: http://www.techassist.net/forms/change.html
