There is no on/off switch on that power supply so it must run all the time but at about one-third power when the set is off. At turn on, the power comes up to normal. It is unlikely the chip is bad in this case. More likely a turn-on problem or a shorted load on the power supply. There was a bulletin for "slow to turn on" but I lost that after a recent computer crash. Maybe someone else has that. John. One 12v supply is normal. Have checked all the supply lines for shorts or defective components. Have isolated each line. Nothing makes any difference. Have not changed switching I/C SFR-F6656. Not sure that the I/C is bad. Seems to be working. Wondering if it can work and still be bad? Thought before I replace it, maybe someone had some experience with this > Paul > > > Paul ,B > Central TV&Video > 911W Grand Ave > Grover Beach Ca. > (805)481-8084 > > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- --- > This Email List is accessible to the general public through search engines.
