JVC has no tech assist number, unless you are in the customers house.
The tech assist email system is set up to initiate requests from inside
their web site.
As for your problem (?) I see no notes/bulletins about thermistors.
There are several variations to that model. What are the letters at the
end of the serial number?
I see nothing unusual in the schematic on the "y" version.
