Last one I did after reassembly, I had the same issue. If you look at the center black gear, there's small hole in it. That hole has to line up with a hole on the metal housing to be in the proper 'eject' mode. Otherwise, the latch that it moves won't protract far enough out to latch the door. I didn't know until someone sent me the deck layout. Real pain. Terry H.
