Thanks Eric, I checked that and it's OK but when I turned the AC back on I noticed it drawing about enough current for a short while then dropping to zero. That led me to look at the H drive at the HOT and it was good for that short time. Checking the waveform at the collector showed only 350v and lousy looking ringing. Quitting time now, so tomorrow I'll pull the flyback to test it.
