Pete , Remove the main power supply module & jumper the contacts of RY602. Put a 100watt bulb across the 115V regulated B+ pins on connector G5 (pin 5 =115) & (pin2 =cold ground). Slowly bring up the supply on your variac and verify regulated 115V. This supply will draw about 3 Amps when running. The power supply board is typically riddled with ring cracks around the transformers and T0-220 type semiconductors. Do you have the shutdown guides and troubleshooting info for the AP series sets? I will send to you just in case. ========================== Jeff Stielau Shoreline Electronics Repair 344 East Main Street Clinton,CT 06413 860-399-1861 860-664-3535 (fax) jstielau@xxxxxxxx ======================== ----- Original Message ----- From: "pete" <tvtech@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, October 05, 2005 7:16 AM Subject: [TechAssist] Fw: kp53xbr25 sony projection tv ap chassis > Perdomo Tv Inc Since 1972 > Miami.Fl > ----- Original Message ----- > From: pete > To: Philip Bader > Sent: Tuesday, October 04, 2005 8:12 PM > Subject: kp53xbr25 sony projection tv ap chassis > > > > I believe its a shutdown problem, but Im not sure.
