[TechAssist] CTC166/167 RCA, replaced shorted Q901, video luminance buffer,shorted again.

Hi fellow techs,
Is it possible for the picture tube to short out the video luminance
buffer, Q901 in the CTC166/167 chassis family? I replaced Q901 and it
lasted a few minutes and then the good picture blinked and went back to
bright with retrace lines and the picture faintly in the background. I
have replaced these before and had no problems. TIA
