Sometimes we don't even use a tube....and if it's a console we use an appliance cart. That cart has seen better days...getting nearly impossible to glide it upwards/downwards as the belts are frayed and some rollers inside are gone due to impact.... BUT DO YOU REPLACE IT??? Noooooooooo..... Why not you ask? Look at the Newer TVs, like the RCA Winged PTV, or the Sony diamond cut (multi-faceted) Wega PTV.....They used to have sides, but now they're 2-3 inches wide, then angled, then 12 inches of chassis. The only Flat surface is the back or front and try getting that thru the door that way..... As the manufacturer would say: "Hey guys...ain't she purty??"
