Subject: [TCUG] UTMC Conference 2008

Dear all, just in case you don't get this note through other channels,
this note from the UTMC Development Group gives advance notice of this
year's UTMC conference. More details will follow, but as registration
starts before our next open meeting I thought I'd pass this on.
Adrian.

Message reads:
Dear Colleagues,
Following an earlier press release on UTMC Conference 2008, which will
be held on Wednesday 3rd and Thursday 4th December at the Royal
Armouries in Leeds, we are pleased to be able to provide you with
further information about the conference.
The focus of this year's conference will appeal to both experienced
implementers and those who have just or are about to implement UTMC
compliant systems. The conference will hear from case studies in
Edinburgh, Leeds, Oxfordshire and Suffolk about their schemes, the
issues encountered, the solutions adopted and lessons learnt. You will
also hear about the interurban - urban programme of the Highways Agency,
including ramp metering, and the work of the UDG Management and Working
Groups which are responsible for the maintenance and development of the
UTMC technical framework.
We are planning two workshop sessions on Day 2 of the conference, under
the general themes of "Travel Information - Novel Management
Techniques", and "Urban - Interurban Integration".
The conference will also offer you the opportunity to visit an
exhibition of suppliers of UTMC equipment, systems and services in an
open and informal setting.
Please note the dates of the conference in your diaries. Registration
will be open in September.
Yours sincerely,
Sarah Jackson
