Under TAL 10/93 and TAL 4/98, (standard mid-block) Toucan crossings were required to have 4 poles - and to quote TAL 4/98 "a push button is required in each corner". TAL 10/93 precedes the use of nearside indicators - and TAL 4/98 includes prototype Toucan nearside indicators - but both precede TSRGD 2002 (i.e. they relate to the period when approval was required for any type of Toucan crossing). Does anyone know if we are still 'required' to have a 4 pole arrangement for new Toucan crossings? (and if so where is this prescribed? - it doesn't seem to be in TSRGD 2002) Howard Saffer Traffic Signal Design Group DEL - Development Services Sheffield City Council Tel: 0114 - 273 - 6154 Fax: 0114 - 273 - 6182 Mailto:howard.saffer@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx <mailto:howard.saffer@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> The information in this email is confidential.
