Dear all Portable Signals - Authorisation Following the advice in TSRGD Regulation 35, our understanding is that all portable signals (not just those at or near a junction) used on the public highway must benefit from written authorisation by the Highway Authority. This is being questioned by many utility companies in our area, citing paragraph 53 (2) b, and I would ask for your opinions and what policies you adopt in your respective authorities.
