The upstand between kerbface and carriageway where a HRA patch had been
put down. Apparently we are responsible for ensuring that any utilities
working anywhere near to a site reinstate to the correct tolerance (even
though we don't get to hear of such things and the Highway Inspectors
aren't expected to work to such a fine tolerance when they carry out
their inspections).

Where's that darkened room!
