Now the holidays are with us in earnest a quick reminder of how to stop your
mailbox filling up with things from the TCUG list while you are sipping
something cool and soaking up the sun. You need to set yourself in "vacation
mode", you can do this in two ways:

Send an e-mail to tcug-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'vacation xx' (without
the
quotes) in the Subject field. This will suspend messages for xx days, or,
if
you leave out xx, for a default two weeks - you can catch up when you
return by
looking at the archives at //www.freelists.org/archives/tcug/.

Alternatively, log on to the Freelists website at
//www.freelists.org/login.html You will have to go through an
authorisation procedure if it is your first time - basically they send
you an e-mail with a code in it which you return to them to prove who you
are, it only takes a couple of minutes. You can then select the tcug
list. Click on "Change Settings" and then tick the "Vacation" box to
suspend messages, untick it when you return to resume.

Finally, please remember to send your messages from the same e-mail address
that you subscribed with. Several people have had e-mail address changes
recently, this is fine for receiving messages - the IT people usually
redirect messages addressed to your old address onto your new one, you
probably don't even notice the change. Unfortunately Freelists doesn't know
about this when you send a message from your new address, you don't appear
as a member so it rejects your message. The answer is to unsubscribe from
your old address and resubscribe with your new one. If you have already lost
access to yur old address contact me and I will sort it out.
