Probably because that is how Siemens applied for approval. The AGD nearsides work with the 900. At first there were some lamp monitoring issues which have been resolved. It was something to do with a surge in the initial startup current used by the AGD nearside unit which seems to be resolved. You will need to talk to the Siemens and AGD techies to get the full picture.
