[tccrockets] Good idea wanted

We rebuilt the PA speakers at spring cleaning and now have a slight problem
with them. When we pound the speaker poles into the ground it mushrooms the
end a bit and then the speaker mount doesn’t slide onto the pole.

Anybody got a good idea on how to best solve this?

The pole is standard ¾ inch metal conduit and the mount is a standard
threaded conduit end.

My best idea so far is to mount a 6 inch long ½ inch diameter rod on the
speaker that will slide INTO the pole.
