There are folks on the list that have a great deal more technical knowledge on 
ACVWs than me.  So take this for what it's worth.

 I was having a similar trouble on a SP1600,  it always seemed to run and start 
no problem when cold. However, it would die when warm if I was at idle or 
deceleration.  After running through all the electrical stuff I could think of, 
the problem remained. Turned out it was the carb. I could have probably done a 
rebuild, but I decided to replace it.
