My name is Wayne Carlisle and I live in Garland, TX. I met a lot of you at
the Morgan's Point campout. I have a 70 deluxe bus that is a camper
conversion and is red with white stripes. Yeah, you could say it has real
character. It used to belong to Robb. It is the best VW driver I've ever had
(out of 8 thru the years). I'm doing a poor-boy restoration on it so it
might take a while but it's comfortable and that's what I think is most
important in a bus. I also have a '64 bug I'm working on but will probably
have to sell soon.

I started out in the NTVW Club but never got too involved. I also spent
years on the VintageVW mailing list. The last year I've been in the Dallas
Aircoolers. What a great bunch of folks. I'm looking forward to getting off
my dead arse and doing more traveling and camping. I just found out my
daughter is moving to Austin in 2 weeks so I'll be making it down south more
frequently.

Thanks to all involved in the Temple show and Morgan's Point campout. What a
great time!
