Hey Sammie,
I've been researching engines for my '62 since I went out and found an original
transaxle and front beam, and I am making "Buster" as dead on original as
possible. I need to check the 36hp fan shrown and compare it to a Bastard 40
and Stail Air 40.
What else do you have for a correct '62 stale air engine. I am negotiating on
a couple of 5 and 6 serial number engines, and I'd rather buy from TCBers than
not.
We'll have to talk,
Peter

Way to go Peter!  Does 62 have the later style fan shroud without the heater
hoses or the 36 style fan shroud?  I can't remember.  By the way:  I have some
correct air cleaners for that engine.

Ok, here is a question for you smart bus techies (Will-Peter):  Samba ad by
Jesse Kimball (related to Rich ?)  "perfect" 62 23 window for big bucks shows
fresh air heat in this 62 bus.  Fresh air heat did not come out on the Type I
till into the 63 model year (i.e., early 63s still had stale air heat).  So is
fresh air heat correct for a 62 Type II?  I think not but am still researching
for a correct answer.
