Yes, you have to check the checkbox; but, then be sure to actually reply to their message thereby sending them one. Even if you don't have much to say to them; just say, I got it; or, acknowledge your message, or, anything to actually send them one. Their address should now be in your address book, if not, then that's definitely one for support.
