Hi all,

This year I've been involved with a UW group called TechShop. It encourages
students to provide technology service for area nonprofits in the form of a
1-credit service learning course.

In case any of you would like to know more about that, this semester's
students and nonprofits will discuss their results this Friday morning.
Details below.

*TechShop Madison: Using Web 2.0 to Build Nonprofit Capacity*

You are invited to attend the TechShop final project presentations on
Friday, May 1 from 8:30-10:30 am in UW-Madison's Memorial Union (Beefeaters
Room). The undergraduate students enrolled in the course have each been
partnered with a nonprofit organization to work together on applying Web 2.0
technologies in the nonprofit environment. Students and nonprofit
representatives will present their projects and reflect on the benefits and
limitations of using social media and other technologies to achieve
nonprofit goals. Light refreshments will be served. For more information,
please contact Emily Christian at echristian@xxxxxxxxx
