Dear HS
Ghanks a lot. This is a very excellent software, which I didn't know. I
think, I will use this for a lot of things and not only PDF-files.
Really great.
Kind regards
Claudio

I had very good luck on the mac. I opened the sib7 reference in Preview,
selected all and copied the text to Text Edit.

On the PC, I would get hold of

http://empowermentzone.com/edsetup.exe

which is Jamal Mazrui's EdSharp editor, which has or can use a PDF to Text
utility. When you have that installed, Open the sib7 reference in edsharp
and now you have plain text access.

If the document seems to be "blank" in PDF format, it may be that it is a

results can range from poor to very good.

Dear Dale
Thanks for your reply. Of course it is worth converting to TXT and it's
something I often do with PDF-files. But in this special case I haven't even
thought so far, because at first the document showed up to be empty.
Thanks again. I go for it.
Regards
Claudio

Claudio,

I haven't tried that specific document, but have not had much success with
PDF's overall. Try converting the document to a text file. That option
should be available under "Save AS". If it is a large document, it will
probably take a while for the conversion process, but it will likely be
worth the wait. Of course any navigation built into the PDF version will be
lost, but navigation in a document one cannot read is altogether worthless,
wouldn't you agree? :) I have converted both the Sibelius 5 and 6 reference
manuals to text and have found them to be somewhat of a help, even though
they are unwieldy.
