What Tim says is absolutely true, and indeed the same can be said of the whole
Sibelius team at Avid.
What is interesting for me is that there are different ways to provide support
when using Sibelius, and indeed other software products. Some issues of course
need a software specialist within the development team, but the information in
the blog article doesn't - it is information that could be 'crowdsourced' and
put together by someone with sufficient product familiarity in the wider
Sibelius user community.

To document the entire application in such a way would take quite a while
(we're talking months, not days!), so what might be useful is a way of getting
that information on demand, that is a mechanism by which areas that are harder
to understand could be flagged up, then someone who can describe that area of
the application. Having it on a blog means that the information is there as a
resource and can be searched, but to have more information providers would
improve the quality of the information and the speed at which it could be
provided.

We should also thank Daniel Spreadbury for backing this effort - it could
not have happened without him.

Best wishes.

I'll second/third that too.

I can't speak for areas other than the UK, but accessibility is an excellent
selling point to major users, especially when they are deciding which
software site license they should purchase. I have actually been witness to
that kind of decision in some pretty big music colleges, academies, etc..

And of course it filters down to the schools, who very often look at what
the major institutions are doing.

Steve, this is excellent!
Really, seeing someone from the actual company take this much interest in
our concerns is very encouraging and is very much appreciated.
