James,

I'm pretty sure that the multi-bar repeat symbol is just that. The number of 
bars to repeat is simply a number immediately adjacent to that symbol. So 
you could have it denote any number of bars.

Hi,

I believe there are signs for one bar repeat and two bar repeat, but I'm
not sure about 4 bar repeat. What about the phrase was 8 bars long?
Would writing slashes and putting technique marks as repeat on start of
every 8 bars be the best solution then?
