It's German for well matured vibrato. Try Wikipedia, it should reveal all. -----Original Message----- From: sib-access-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:sib-access-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Annabelle Susan Morison Sent: 26 April 2011 13:51 To: sib-access@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [sib-access] Re: How to Notate Specific Techniques Brunhilde? Go to playback > dictionary. Go to the staff text tab (this should be showing already). Select "vib" in the list of words. Tab to the effect combo box and press C for control change. Tab to the MIDI controller box and type 1 (or whichever MIDI controller is assigned to vibrato / modulation in your playback device.) Tab to the value box and type in the setting for the controller. Do all of the above again but choose non vib in the list of words and set the MIDI controller value to 0 (you do have to be able to turn Brunhilde off). Hope this helps, Dan -----Original Message----- From: sib-access-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:sib-access-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Annabelle Susan Morison Sent: 14 April 2011 05:51 To: sib-access@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [sib-access] How to Notate Specific Techniques Hi, it's Annabelle. I was wondering, how would I notate vibrato on specific notes? I've tried putting "Vib" or "Vibrato" as technique texst, but it won't play back for some reason. How do I fix that? I know there's Channel Aftertouch, but it seems that wouldn't work on specific notes, but rather, on the entire selection. Also, I was wondering, how would I notate specific mutes? Specifically, on a jazz trumpet part, I want to switch between harman mute, straight mute, and cup mute. Is there a way for me to do this? Also, how can I make Garritan Jazz and Big Band 3 work with Sibelius 5.2.5? Or is that not a possibility? No virus found in this outgoing message.
