Dani,

I'll take a look at my studio DAW and see if I can pull it off.

What's your email, so I can send as an attachment.

You wouldn't happen to have a copy of that inelegant, but very
necessary dictionary??? Or instructions on how to put it together?

Dani,

Have you tried using the asterisk (*) as a wildcard? I think you can put
in

D* and Repronounce it as Delta. Have not played with this in years, but
give

it a try.

I actually created a huge dictionary with the phonetic and all the octave
combinations, as well as with flats and sharps. I created it in Notepad
and

then pasted it into the text form of the JAWS dictionary file for
Sibelius.

But that was the un-elegant, hard way to do it. A wildcard might have been
the cleaner solution.

flats

Hi, Everyone.
I have managed to customize my Sib .jdf file so that instead of using
A-G to announce pitches, JFW uses the phoenetic equivalent. I have
only managed to do it, though, where there is just a pitch and an
octave e.g., D4=Delta4.
There's supposed to be something in the Verbosity settings where you
can check this and it does it, but my quirky computer/jfw/computer
gods have all conspired against me and won't let it happen according
to the Access Guide.

Now I need to ask ... and will hope Dan is still on list ... how to
get it so I can have this happen with accidentals as well. I tried
using the # for sharp, but still get "F sharp 3".

Ideas?

Thanks,
Dani
