Just to brag a little...

I used spreadsheets in the second half of the 90's extensively
to sort through large data sets generated by multi variable
simulation sweeps done with *SPICE.  The spreadsheets allowed
me to quickly look at subsets of data grouped in meaningful
ways and find trends and dependencies with just a few buttons
on the top level spreadsheets.  The equations and numbers of
sheets linked got so big that I uncovered a couple of bugs
which were escalated to Microsoft through our IT department...

In those days we were joking, saying that you didn't know that
EXCEL was a CAD tool, did you?
