Hello Ismail, I have used Spartan IIE FPGA with Texas Instruments REG1117A LOW DROPOUT POSITIVE REGULATOR. I have done signal testing on it as well and it works very well on my board. Make sure to have high & low frequency decoupling for the output. Regards, Ruturaj Hello there! I want to know if anyone used SPARTAN IIE FPGA in any of their design. It seems that the FPGA draws a high current during start up which appers almost like a short circuit I am in the process of selecting an appropriate Voltage regulator but not sure how good it will be. My worst fear is that once the Voltage regulator senses the high current draw it may shutdown. It will be of great help if anyone could provide the part number/manfacturer of Voltage regulator used in their earlier (working :) ) design.
