Jeremy, Thank you very much for your advice. I will try your suggestion. I do remember seeing your note some time ago, but was not able to recollect the details. The link is //www.freelists.org/archives/si-list/ . I answered a question just like this about 3 years back. I had to design something similar, and it ended up working fairly well. Here's a snippet of my answer: --- 16 Jul 2001 --- I have actually done this. All you have to do is design a passive bias tee to the desired frequency that you want to introduce into your 3.3V Power Plane, and that should be sufficient for the experiment. Here is an example: DC | C C L C C | AC ----||---------- AC + DC F = 10kHz L = 1000uH C = 4.7uF DC = +3.3V from Power Supply. AC = 10kHz or whatever frequency you want to introduce into your system. AC+DC = the noisy voltage that is used to supply your board with +3.3V. --------------------- You could also use an active bias tee instead of a passive bias tee. I did an experiment using both at the same frequency, and they seemed to work about the same. Hope this helps. Can any one suggest a vendor who makes such equipment, or details to put one together. Currently I am using a fixture designed years ago by someone in my company, but it really distorts the waveform at lower frequencies. I will appreciate any type of leads. Thanks.
