Ravinder, Do a search in the archives for "Injecting noise into a plane". The = link is //www.freelists.org/archives/si-list/ . I answered a question just like this about 3 years back. I had to = design something similar, and it ended up working fairly well. Here's a = snippet of my answer: --- 16 Jul 2001 --- I have actually done this. All you have to do is design a passive bias = tee to the desired frequency that you want to introduce into your 3.3V Power Plane, and that should be sufficient for the = experiment. Here is an example: DC | C C L C C | AC ----||---------- AC + DC F =3D 10kHz L =3D 1000uH C =3D 4.7uF DC =3D +3.3V from Power Supply. AC =3D 10kHz or whatever frequency you want to introduce into your = system. AC+DC =3D the noisy voltage that is used to supply your board with = +3.3V. --------------------- You could also use an active bias tee instead of a passive bias tee. I = did an experiment using both at the same frequency, and they seemed to = work about the same. Hope this helps. Can any one suggest a vendor who makes such equipment, or details to put one together. Currently I am using a fixture designed years ago by someone in my company, but it really distorts the waveform at lower frequencies. I will appreciate any type of leads. Thanks.
