[SI-LIST] Relative merits of Spice vs. IBIS

I have worked at some companies where they do both spice simulations and
IBIS based simulations.

Recently I had one IC manufacturer recommend that we use spice to simulate
there I/O + transmission line rather than IBIS.

What are the relative merits/disadvantages of each?
