Hi Alin,

You can use HFSS to extract required package parasitics.

HFSS can directly import dxf or gds files.
However, you will also need wirebond profile and package construction details
to create detailed 3D geometries and connection netlist for appropriate port
definition.

Vijaya

Subject: [SI-LIST] Package parasitics extraction

Hi All,
I need to extract all parasitics of a package with wirebonding dedicated to
RF application.

Today I have the DXF of the package and a GDS of both pinout and bonding.

The only one tool available is HFSS and I use to use Paksi-E ( Apache-DA ).

So I wonder if with all these input data I will be able to extract all
parasitics with HFSS?

I will be interested If anyone has a quick tutorial about how to do.

Regards

Alin
