Bill,

The recommended thickness is .062" (62 mils) per the 2.2 spec (see attached
.doc)
Please mind that the "connector" on the PCB is traces covered with (mostly)
Gold.
What you want to do is to consult your PCB manufacture for how to achieve
this thickness, taking in count the trace and any coating you will apply on
it.
