Ringside mentoring is a poor substitute for in ring mentoring. As a long
time judge of GSD`s, I can tell you from personal experiences that inside
the ring is the only place to accurately judge a dog. You see things in the
ring that are not evident at ringside.
I am not against ringside mentoring but it can only be used as a tool for
showing proper ring procedure, etc., not evaluation of the animals in the
ring. Maybe that is all you want to accomplish. If so, then it is another
tool to be used in the prerequisites for judging a futurity.
