All I can say Norma is being in New York, you must be located near a main hub
or Subsidiary like
La Guardia or JFK..........<G> It DOES make a difference....but most of us
do not have that access.
It is not the size of the aircraft that matters...it is the cargo door.
# 400 crates are typically not a problem anyway.

1.having flown all over the country with a bitch in a 400 vari kennel size 24
36 27(height) for many years, and never had a single bit of trouble flying
anywhere and flying with a male in a larger kennel 500 which is 30 inches high.
this is my experience. it costs more for a male because of the weight of dog
and crate. i have changed planes been in all sizes of aircraft and flown almost
everywhere including canada. which by the way is less expensive.you forgot to
include airwest and air canada in your reports. bitches cost 200 each way on
delta and 50 each way on airwest.
2. sites. what happened to arizona they have many of the best sites i for dog
shows in the country tucson, scottsdale to name two. and the weather is always
wonderful.our dogs look so much better outdoors. Palm Springs is the best show
site in this country. you can fly to ontario which is an international airport
or john wayne or even LAX ontario is only an hour from palm springs. Sacremento
would be fun. They held the sheltie national there but you would have to find
some less expensive accomadations.Palm Springs hosts the largest dog show in
America(4000 dogs) and they are very well set up for it.
