I am newly provisional and it's 12 years, 4 champions 6 litters, 6
stewarding, 6 matches.
they want to see seminars, club involvement, etc. You also have to do a pre
application interview and an interview after you pass open book tests on
procedures and the standard......................even though i met all the
requirements and did alot way more than just pay bills :))) I did not find
it to be a walk in the park to get my provisional.
After i finish provisionals i can get other breeds without having champions
but you have to meet certain requirements and do seminars, mentoring and
there is a limit to how many breeds you can apply for at a time.
I did hear that years ago judges weren't even required to have bred
champions or all the requirements they have today,,,,,anyone know if thats
true ??
I think the problem isn't with how you get a judges license i think it's
with continuing education especially for people who judge this breed as an
additional breed and not their initial breed.
As for those who got a license by just paying bills like Sally mentioned
previously, i would bet those judges won't get many assignments
anyways,,,,,,,there's always going to be ways people get around things since
you can't legislate honesty,,,,but we can make a statement by not giving
undeserving judges entries.
