It's interesting....I have never, in 10 years, been asked by AKC
WHY I wanted to judge.
I have become painfully aware that there are multiple reasons that
people aspire to judge, and being a true 'dog person' is only one of them.
For some, it is a source of income........for others, it is socialization.
Some want to be the one in control........and some are 'Giant Killers',
getting even for all those years of mediocre exhibiting. And then, of
course,
there are always those that 'just don't get it and never will'.
But, I do believe that most are true 'dog lovers' who believe they want
to contribute their years of experience to the Sport of Dogs.

Believe me, the amount of time and money spent studying
the breeds you want to judge is prohibitive. And the requirements
are strict (for most). Judging is not taken lightly by most of us.

many Champions does one have to have BRED, not owned, but bred to qualify
